Mia, a 20 year old a sophomore at Savannah State University majoring in Business Administration, has been in a relationship for the past few months. There’s “the luv of my life” photo album with a few pictures of the couple cuddling up at her apartment and out to dinner. Interestingly enough, though her relationship status has said “in a relationship” until Saturday, said ‘boo’ has always been listed as ‘’single.” A minor overlook, she’s explained, he doesn’t get on Facebook that much. Which could be believable, yet upon further investigation, a quick glance at the “My niggaz” album that was recently posted on his profile last week, full of shots of him and his friends at several different night clubs, one could infer something completely different.

Over the next few days, Mia’s friends flood her wall with “you deserve the best girl”, “Keep your head up”, “everything happens for a reason”posts. She thanks them all, and comments on how she is doing just fine. There is even a new photo album entitled “Single, Sexy, and Free” created and she’s uploaded several photos of her in the sexiest (i.e, the most revealing ) dresses she can find. Many of the captions include clever guilt-ridden phrases like “everything you’re missing out on” and “the best he DOESNT have.” Comments, as one can imagine, are numerous. Good for you Mia. If he’s not treating you like you should be treated, then you should move on...
